AMD together we advance_ The Role: Lead AMD’s Datacenter systems manufacturing and test Engineering team.
This team is responsible for the assembly and test of our server/datacenter GPU products, developed to support machine learning and artificial intelligence installations.
As a Sr Manager in AMD’s Board Operations team, you will work closely with other teams in operations, engineering, business, quality and our manufacturing partners.
Manage the Engineering requirements to enable AMD’s GPU and datacenter products to progress from NPI to mass production.
As a people manager, the Sr Manager will oversee a team of employees, hire and train new team members.
Support and mentor current employees and provide evaluations and feedback.
Manage expenses, capital expenditures and budgets.
Build action plans for achieving goals.
Coordinate/lead closely with peers & seniors to ensure timely and effective communication of all assigned work activities.
The Person: The successful candidate must be a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines/ lead & drive for solutions and an aptitude to thrive & ability work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.

in Electrical or System Engineering with at least 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
You should have at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role of engineers in a manufacturing environment.
Deep understanding of PC and server architecture.
Solid experience in leading the design and implementation of comprehensive test frameworks for servers and systems builds.
Solid experience in managing large-scale testing projects and coordinating with multiple teams.
Knowledge and hands on experience of setting up workloads in a hyper converged infrastructure highly desired.
Solid experience server system assembly – sub-assemblies to L10.
Good experience with the PCBA manufacturing process.
Good at defining and monitoring key performance metrics for system quality.
Solid experience in driving innovation in testing methodologies and tooling.
Solid Experience in project management and in leading meetings.
A self-starter is required and able to deal with a high-level of ambiguity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
Ability to work with a geographically diverse team.
Academic Credentials: You should have a B.
