Responsibilities :
Translate system requirements into electrical architecture specifications and design guidelines.
Define and develop electrical system drawing, including power distribution, signal integrity, grounding, and protection concepts.
Create system block diagrams, interface definitions, and electrical architecture documentation.
Ensure proper integration of electrical subsystems with mechanical, software, and firmware components.
Perform system-level trade-off analyses (performance, redundancy, scalability, reliability, cost, safety, and fault operation).
Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical, safety, and regulatory standards (, IEC, UL, etc.).
Define verification and validation plan for electrical systems.
Support detailed electrical design teams by providing architectural direction and design constraints.
Support prototypes bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting at the system level.
Produce and maintain architecture documents, system specifications, and design rationale.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with Vertiv sale, business development, product management, product engineering team.
Collaborate with suppliers, partners, and external engineering teams as required.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline, master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in electrical system design in any of the following areas is desirable:
Data center power product development
Solar and wind power system development
EV electrical charging product development
BESS development
Proficiency in electrical engineering principles: analog/digital circuits, power systems, grounding, and protection.
Strong knowledge of electrical system architecture, including power electronics, control systems, and signal integrity.
Clear understating of diverse power and thermal data center infrastructure systems.
Experience with system-level design and requirement decomposition.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficient in using Auto CAD drawing software.
Experience using PSCAD, ETAP, or Matlab modeling software is desirable but not required.
Must have good planning, organizing, documentation and communication skills.
Must be team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEC standards.
Knowledge of power system key challenge (, LVRT, Arc Flash, Grounding etc.) is advantageous.
