Position Overview The Director of Housekeeping leads and manages the overall operations of the Housekeeping Department.

The individual is responsible for maintaining effective communication between the Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure timely readiness of guest rooms.

As a senior management, the Director of Housekeeping provides the leadership, vision and strategic direction in continuous improvement of operation standards to ensure that the hotel delivers stellar level of service standards to all guests and achieving long term financial performance of the department.

The Role 1.

Provides inspirational leadership, clear vision and direction to team members to ensure delivery of the Capella brand, values and vision, to create an amazing experience for our guests and team members.

2.

Assist Director of Rooms to review all pre-opening standards and build up the housekeeping daily work flow and pre- opening set up line with Capella standards.

3.

Leads and manages the operation of the Housekeeping department to ensure hotel's policies, departmental standards are strictly adhered to.

4.

Maintains the highest standard of cleanliness and condition for guestrooms, public space and back of the house areas.

5.

Initiates and maintains an effective inspection program including guest rooms, public and back of house areas.

6.

Ensuring that all complaints are handled with utmost professionalism and proper follow-ups are done in a timely manner.

7.

Cooperate with Engineering to ensure quality and consistency of the preventive maintenance program.

8.

Be an exemplary role model in inspiriting team members through strong demonstration of the Capella Culture and Service Philosophy.

9.

Monitor and review operational budgets, payroll progress report, inventory costs control to ensure efficient expenditure planning and financial forecast without compromising on quality.

10. Monitors and supervises the general inventory taking of departmental operating equipment, supplies materials, linens and uniforms.

11. Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism and a pleasant demeanor.
