The E-Solutions Business Development Manager is the lead for e Solutions revenue growth through the expansion and optimization of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s digital capabilities – including e Procurement (B2 B), dealer portal, supply center, etc.

within the assigned corporate accounts and geographic area (Taiwan).

The role’s primary responsibility is to articulate the value of e Business through strategic discussions and analysis of customer buying patterns in order to facilitate share gains then recommend the best way to fulfill customer needs through optimizing channels.

The ultimate outcome is total account growth through improved customer experience, vendor consolidation, ease of ordering and preferential supplier status.

The role is also responsible for the training and application of key SFE, channel tools and systems for workflow selling and vendor consolidation.

The successful candidate will craft and implement the strategic plan for direct customer acquisition, development, and retention of e Business solutions across assigned customer segments and all Thermo Fisher Scientific markets.

They will interface and partners across customers including C-level, CFOs, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Managers, Category Directors, Materials Management, Procurement and Contracts Directors, Deans of Finance, Budget Administration, along with purchasing agents, PIs, and lab managers.

Partner with commercial leaders on Go-To-Market (GTM) approach, educate sales team and support customer discussions on digital offerings.

Support e Solutions and digital commerce leadership by identifying and evaluating new business opportunities that fit with the overall digital solutions strategy.

In collaboration with corporate e-business team members, develop and drive Taiwan B2 B strategy for customer B2 B service offerings to deliver high customer value and support overall APJ digital solutions growth.

Co-develop marketing and merchandizing strategy and plan with key partners including e Business, Market Development and Regional Marketing.

Build and implement marketing programs to drive incremental growth.

Possess a deep understanding of customer accounts with trusted and valued relationships with major decision makers, clarify goals, and reach agreements that support commercial leadership.

Benchmark internal B2 B capabilities to industry practices and trends to ensure alignment to business objectives and customer needs.

Analyze global e Solutions programs, including business, industry, and competitor trends.

Analyze customers’ needs and identify drivers of purchase behaviors to increase online spend aggregation.

Partner with the Digital Marketing, IT, e-Solutions and e-Business product management team to develop and deliver digital products to support commercial strategies; this includes recommending and advocating for web and marketplace functionality improvements to help drive B2 B adoption.

Partner closely with the Data Science function initiatives which support and grow our digital engagement and improve outcomes for our customers.

Provide robust monthly and quarterly metrics to forecast e Solutions opportunities and performance regularly and accurately.

Applies knowledge of industry trends and Thermo Fisher Scientific’s portfolio of products and services to establish targeted customer solutions to achieve short term revenue and long-term business goals.

Leverages all that Thermo Fisher brings to market.

Any other related tasks which are deemed relevant to the role.

Requirements A minimum degree in a scientific or business field required.

MBA preferred.6+ years in Digital and e Commerce Sales and/or Marketing required Experience in industry, academia, clinical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology research or laboratory sales.

Experience influencing across a highly matrixed environment with demonstrated results.

Substantiated capability to effectively lead and close business with channel partners across multiple levels.

Possess outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to maintain and promote subtlety to arrive at mutually effective outcomes.

Experience developing relationships with multiple customer functions including R&D end-users and leadership, Procurement, Finance, and Operations Shown experience to operate independently, with initiative, and good business judgment.

Technical understanding of vendor led on-site inventory programs.

Strong planning and interpersonal skills, proactive approach Excellent data analysis and marketing skills and ability to apply these skills to generating business decisions.

Technical and working knowledge of customer procurement systems and practices including B2 B, B2 C, etc.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment with bold project timelines.

Demonstrates outstanding listening, presentation, communication, and inter personal skills.

Ability travel at least 25% when required.

Preferred Qualifications: Consistent track record in Sales and Business Development role.

Strong role model with ability to empower people at all levels.

Experience handling accounts producing over $30 M+ in revenue.
