Day to Day Responsibilities: Provide mechanical engineering analysis expertise to project teams that are responsible to deliver robust, cost effective equipment, automation and machine systems to Corning’s manufacturing plants and processes Work with project team members to solve automation system and equipment related problems and develop basic understanding of process requirements.

Interface with external machine builders, systems integrators, and suppliers to specify and successfully deliver fully integrated equipment systems to the internal customers on-time, on-budget, and in satisfaction of process performance measures.

Actively participates in system integration, check-out, installation, debug, production start-up, and training of plant personnel.

Supervise the team to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other technical problems on production machinery and facility systems.

Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in maintenance engineering roles Experience in manufacturing or production Experience as project leading experience Required Skills: Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
