Molex is seeking a Digital Operations Production Engineer to join our TW production team. The Digital Operations Production Engineer plays a pivotal role in integrating digital technologies and data-driven solutions to optimize manufacturing and production operations. This role focuses on leveraging Industry 4.0 tools, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance operational efficiency, improve process reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Scope:
1. Project planning and execution
2. Gap analysis AS-IS and TO-BE and provide verification plan or study
3. Production, production planning, process improvement and system digitalization
4. Production issue analysis and support
5. IE data collection and analysis

What You Will Do
1. Implement and support digital technologies such as Io T, automation systems, machine learning, and data analytics to optimize production processes.
2. Collaborate with manufacturing, IT, and engineering teams to develop and deploy digital solutions that improve equipment uptime, quality, and throughput.
3. Monitor and analyze real-time production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
4. Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production issues using digital tools and data insights.
5. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to operations and management teams.
6. Support the integration of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, and other industrial control systems with digital platforms.
7. Drive continuous improvement projects by applying digital solutions aligned with Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
8. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices and data integrity in digital operations initiatives.
9. Train and support production staff on the use of digital tools and technologies.
10. Stay updated on emerging digital manufacturing trends and technologies to recommend innovations that provide competitive advantage.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Science) or a related technical field.
2. Experience in manufacturing or production environments with a strong focus on digital/automation technologies.
3. Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies including Io T, sensors, automation, data analytics, and cloud computing.
4. Familiarity with MES, SCADA, PLC programming, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, MQTT).
5. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
6. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
