Your Job
Optical Engine Product & Process Integration Engineer
Molex is seeking an Optical Engine Design Integration Engineer to join our Optical Solution Business Unit (OSBU). You will be part of a world-class engineering team, responsible for integrating opto-mechanical and process designs for optical engines. This includes module-level package design during the feasibility phase to validate key components and optical engine functionality — such as PICs (photonic integrated chips), laser diodes, opto-mechanical architecture, thermal/stress management and manufacturability.
You will integrate the optical design, structural design, thermal-stress simulation, and define specifications for components and processes. From the optical engine perspective, you will also define process requirements, process flows, and lead development and validation. The PIE will coordinate cross-functional efforts across global teams to address design requirements, lifecycle management, and issue resolution. This is a key leadership role supporting the long-term success and competitiveness of our optical engine products and portfolio of optical transceivers. Oversea travel is expected.
This role will be in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
