Job Description: The Role: The Production Planner position is responsible for creating production schedules in accordance with MRP recommendations and customer demand to ensure a controlled flow of work and materials through manufacturing.

Supports factory SAP data integrity for BOMs, work center, routings, MDM, and capacity models; supports data analysis for on time shipping metrics, Supports SAP metrics and metrics analysis.  In this role you will: Planning, managing production schedule and controlling work orders to ensure customer commitments are met Ensure production activities are expedited flawlessly as per the plan. Lead and coordinate daily production order reviews. Monitor production process to ensure that execution is occurring as planned. Identifies material and resource constraints and coordinates and expedites their resolution with responsible parties. Monitors and communicates capacity constraints to manufacturing. Reviews MRP daily for assigned products and generate work orders to satisfy demand and schedules as necessary to present the correct requirements to manufacturing and procurement. Ensures on time delivery of customer orders by monitoring and updating work order schedules. Ensure customer service is informed of any on-time shipment delays to include an explanation for the customer. Reviews and maintains critical Master Data elements that relate to Schedule including safety stock levels and minimum work order quantities. Reviews and responds to all ECN (Engineering Change Notice), MOC(Management of Change) and QN(Quality Notice) activities for assigned product lines. Assembles work order job packets to support manufacturing team. Collaborates across functional areas to ensure data integrity in SAP. Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals. Analyze reports, measurements, and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing areas. Lead effort to understand root cause and corrective actions for process failures relating to scheduling, planning, and execution Traits we believe make a strong candidate: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and a minimum of 3 years SAP experience is desired. Manufacturing Scheduling/Planning, MRP system experience or an equivalent combination of work-related experience SAP planning knowledge is preferred Strong analytical capabilities and able to organize large data sets, analyze trends and make recommendations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment and demonstrated success deploying lean methodologies to improve production efficiency. Experience scheduling and/or planning in a low volume / high mix manufacturing operation is desire. Your success will be measured by: Track record for improvement through operational metrics, specifically: on-time shipment, schedule attainment Ability to lead/execute supply planning at KSP site.  Developing and standardizing process flow/SOP at KSP. Monthly inventory result & annually inventory cycle count.  Excess & dead inventory management & result at KSP.
